A picture that browsers, slides and chat can open
Browsers generally do not draw EPS, and many upload forms and slide tools refuse it. PNG opens almost everywhere, so a PNG copy of a logo or a figure can be placed without extra software.

Convert to PNG
Add an EPS file and get a PNG picture back. The PNG is a flat RGB image at 72 pixels per inch with a white background.
To convert eps to png, add the .eps file, keep PNG as the output format and download the result. In our test, a 300 × 150 pt logo became a 300 × 150 px png: one point became one pixel, and the background came out white, not transparent.
Transfers use HTTPS, and files converted on the free tier are deleted after 24 hours, so the result is not a long-term archive. Quality depends on the source file, so open the PNG file once before you share it.
EPS (Encapsulated PostScript)
A PostScript program that describes one rectangular graphic, made by Adobe in the late 1980s so illustrations could be placed in printed documents. It is mostly vector, can embed raster images, and states its size in a %%BoundingBox header line. It has no layers or transparency, needs a PostScript interpreter such as Ghostscript to draw, and version 3.0 from 1992 is the last one Adobe published.
PNG (Portable Network Graphics)
A lossless raster format with a full alpha channel. It preserves every pixel it is given and supports transparency, which makes it the usual choice for logos, screenshots, and any image with sharp edges or text.
Our own EPS logo, 300 × 150 pt, in an RGB and a CMYK version, converted on indox.org
Browsers generally do not draw EPS, and many upload forms and slide tools refuse it. PNG opens almost everywhere, so a PNG copy of a logo or a figure can be placed without extra software.
The conversion runs on indox servers. You add the EPS in the browser on Windows, Mac, Linux or a phone and download the PNG. You do not need a desktop program that can read PostScript.
An EPS states its own size in a %%BoundingBox line. In our test a box of 300 × 150 pt gave a PNG of exactly 300 × 150 px, so you can predict the pixel size before you convert.
We converted one EPS drawn in RGB and one drawn in CMYK. Pure red, blue and green stayed exact in the RGB file, and the CMYK file came out as RGB with shifted values, listed below.
Drop the .eps file on the box or choose it from your device. Keep the original: it is the only copy that still has the vector shapes, and the PNG cannot be turned back into them.
Check that PNG is the output format on the converter, then start the conversion. In our test it took 3.2 seconds from the click to Completed, for both of the files we tried.
Save the PNG and open it before you place it. Look at the pixel size, the edges of the drawing and the background, because those are the three things that change most.
You hand over an EPS file and take away a PNG of it that opens in a browser, a slide deck or a CMS. Use it when you need a flat picture of an EPS. It does not edit the drawing or turn it back into vector shapes.

The upload box shows the live size limit before you add a file. Signing in raises it; a paid plan does not change it.
EPS in, PNG out. Pick another output on the converter if you need a different format.
Files are encrypted in transit over HTTPS and processed on indox infrastructure.
Free-tier files are kept for 24 hours after the job finishes, then deleted automatically.

A client or a brand kit hands over an .eps logo, and the site or the CMS will not show it. A PNG copy goes into the page, while the EPS stays in the brand folder for print.
Older logo archives are often EPS only. A PNG of each logo is enough for a document, a slide or a mail signature, and the white background is easy to see before it is placed.
Plotting tools and LaTeX workflows write EPS figures. A PNG is what a web page, a forum post or a presentation tool accepts, at a size set by the figure's bounding box.
A purchased illustration may arrive as EPS. You can see what it shows by converting it to PNG, without installing a design program.

Open the converter, add your EPS file, keep PNG as the output and download the result. In our test we did this without signing in and the conversion finished in 3.2 seconds.
The pixel size follows the bounding box of the EPS, one point to one pixel. Our test logo with a box of 300 × 150 pt gave a 300 × 150 px PNG. A small drawing gives a small picture.
No. EPS has no transparency, and in our test the PNG had no alpha channel. Every pixel the drawing did not cover was white. If you need a transparent logo, remove the background in an image editor afterwards.
An EPS is drawn at 72 pixels per inch here, and nothing is added when it is enlarged. A small bounding box means few pixels, and stretching them later makes the edges soft. Export from your vector program at a larger size if you need more.
PNG stores RGB, not CMYK, so the colours are converted. In our test CMYK 0 1 1 0 became RGB 237, 28, 36. A plain RGB file kept pure red, blue and green exactly.
Only the area inside the %%BoundingBox is drawn. Shapes beyond it were clipped in our test. Open the EPS in a vector program and check that the box covers the whole artwork.
No. The PNG holds pixels only. Keep the EPS, or convert it to SVG or PDF if you need shapes that scale.
The converter page states how long files are kept for free use, so read that notice before you upload anything confidential. Only upload files you are allowed to share.
No. The conversion runs on indox servers, and you only need a browser to add the file and download the PNG.
Choose PNG for logos and line art, because it is lossless and keeps sharp edges. JPG is smaller and suits photos, but it blurs thin lines and text.
