U.S. Shareholder's Aggregate Foreign Cash Position
Schedule D (Form 965), U.S. Shareholder's Aggregate Foreign Cash Position, is a two-page schedule that the form says to attach to Form 965. Page 1 lists each specified foreign corporation with its pro rata share of cash position at the close of three taxable years, in U.S. dollars. Page 2 combines those amounts into the aggregate foreign cash position.
Line 19 is the larger of two figures: the total of column (g), or the totals of columns (c) and (e) combined and divided by two. Lines 20 and 21 record the aggregate foreign cash position taken into account on the 2017 and 2018 tax returns.
This is the January 2019 edition. The schedule does not print its instructions; it points to www.irs.gov/Form965 for them. You can fill out the PDF free in your browser on this page and download it without an account.
