Do I need to sign up or install anything?

No. indox runs in your browser, so there is nothing to install, and you can convert or edit a file as a guest. Signing in raises your upload limit and keeps your history.

What happens to my files after I upload them?

Files are encrypted in transit. Files uploaded on the free tier are deleted automatically within 24 hours.

Yes. OCR turns a scanned PDF into searchable, selectable text, and AI Extract reads the layout of a scan or photo to pull out its fields and tables.

What does AI Extract give me back?

The fields and tables found in your document, as JSON, CSV, XLSX or Markdown. It works on invoices, bank statements, medical forms, contracts, tax forms and similar paperwork.
