Made for LibreOffice and OpenOffice Calc files
ODS is the spreadsheet format of the OpenDocument standard. Add the file as it is saved by Calc and you get a PDF, without exporting to XLSX first.

Convert to PDF
Add an ODS file from LibreOffice or OpenOffice Calc and get a PDF back. Every sheet is included, and the file's own page style decides where the pages break.
To convert ods to pdf, add the .ods file, keep PDF as the output format and download the result. In our test, a 3,562-byte ods with three sheets became a 36,671-byte pdf of 6 A4 pages, and a sheet that was too wide for one page was split across three.
Transfers use HTTPS, and files converted on the free tier are deleted after 24 hours, so the result is not a long-term archive. Quality depends on the source file, so open the PDF file once before you share it.

ODS (OpenDocument Spreadsheet)
The spreadsheet format of the OpenDocument standard, native to LibreOffice Calc and OpenOffice Calc. A ZIP package of XML parts (content, styles, settings, metadata) standardised by OASIS and ISO/IEC 26300. One file holds several sheets, cell values, formulas and formatting, but no fixed page layout: where a printout breaks into pages depends on the page style and the fonts installed.
PDF (Portable Document Format)
A fixed-layout document format published as ISO 32000. Each page records the exact position of every character, image and line, usually with the fonts embedded, so it displays and prints identically in any reader and is awkward to edit.
A 3,562-byte ODS test file with three sheets, written by us and converted on indox.org
ODS is the spreadsheet format of the OpenDocument standard. Add the file as it is saved by Calc and you get a PDF, without exporting to XLSX first.
In our test all three sheets of the file appeared in the PDF, in the same order as in the spreadsheet. The document title stored in the file was kept too.
The PDF in our test had every font embedded as a subset. A Persian sheet with right-to-left columns came out with joined letters and the column order intact, using fallback fonts.
The conversion runs on indox servers, so it works in the browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, a Chromebook or a phone. You do not need LibreOffice on the machine you are using.
If the sheet is wider than a page, set the page style in Calc first, for example page orientation or scaling to fit the width, and save the file. Without this step, wide sheets split across pages.
Drop the file on the box or choose it from your device, confirm that PDF is the output format and start the conversion. In our test the page showed no options for page size, orientation or scaling, and a three-sheet file took 10.5 seconds from the click to Completed.
Save the PDF and look at every page before you send or print it. Check where the wide sheets break and that no sheet is missing.
You hand over an ODS file and take away a PDF that anyone can open and print, with the page count and the page breaks explained before you convert. The page says what the converter decides for you and what stays in your spreadsheet's page style.

The upload box shows the live size limit before you add a file. Signing in raises it; a paid plan does not change it.
ODS in, PDF out. Pick another output on the converter if you need a different format.
Files are encrypted in transit over HTTPS and processed on indox infrastructure.
Free-tier files are kept for 24 hours after the job finishes, then deleted automatically.

A recipient who cannot open ODS can still open a PDF. This is the common reason people look for the conversion, and LibreOffice forum threads often ask about columns that are cut off or split across pages.
A school portal or an email often accepts PDF only. A PDF keeps tables readable and avoids the recipient's software changing how they look.
A price list or an invoice kept in Calc can be sent as a PDF that cannot be changed by accident. Check the page breaks first so a total does not land alone on a page.
Right-to-left columns in a sheet can be a worry once it becomes a PDF. In our test the column order and the joined letters were correct, so a quick look at the result is usually enough.

Open the converter, add your .ods file, keep PDF as the output and download the result. You do not need LibreOffice on your device.
It runs in the browser. When we tested on 5 November 2026 we used it without an account and saw no limit, quota or paywall. Rules can change, so check the converter itself.
A spreadsheet has no fixed pages, so the page style in the ODS decides. A sheet wider than the page is printed over several pages, and in our test a 14-column sheet used three. Set the scaling in your page style to fit the width and convert again.
In LibreOffice Calc, open the page style of the sheet and use the scale mode on the Sheet tab to fit the print range to one page wide, and tall if you need it, then save the file. In our test a file set to one page wide and tall gave one page for the 14-column sheet.
Yes. In our test all three sheets of the file were in the PDF in their original order. Each sheet starts on its own page.
In our test it did on screen. The letters were joined, the right-to-left column order was kept and a SUM formula total was correct. Copying text out of the PDF can still come out in the wrong order, so check the result visually.
Formulas turn into the values you see, and the formatting is drawn onto the page. You cannot edit the cells in the PDF. Keep the ODS if you need to change the data.
Usually yes. An ODS is a compressed package of XML, and a PDF stores fonts and drawn pages. In our test a 3,562-byte file became 36,671 bytes, but those numbers come from one small sample.
Not on this converter. The page showed no such option in our test. Set page size, orientation and scaling in the ODS page style before you convert.
No. ODS belongs to the OpenDocument standard used by LibreOffice and OpenOffice, and XLSX belongs to Microsoft Excel. If a recipient needs to edit the data, ODS to XLSX may fit better than a PDF.
