Extension of Acceptance Time for Bid
GSA Form 2981, Extension of Acceptance Time for Bid, is a one-page General Services Administration form, Rev. 1-92 on its footer. GSA hosts it in its forms library.
The form is a request signed by a Contracting Officer and sent to a bidder. It says the date within which the Government may accept the bid is in block 2, and asks the bidder to extend the acceptance period to the date in block 3, because of the time required to complete the orderly evaluation of bids received. The form says the extension has to be communicated in writing (or by telegraphic message) and received at the office specified on the form by the date in block 4.
At the bottom, the bidder can complete and sign a short statement that extends the acceptance date. You can fill it out free in your browser on this page and download the result without an account.
