Form G-325R: Biographic Information (Registration)

Form G-325R, Biographic Information (Registration), is the USCIS form used to provide biographic information when applying for registration and fingerprinting under section 262 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) (8 U.S.C. 1302). The USCIS page says Form G-325R must be filed online, and that each alien submitting it needs their own individual USCIS online account, including aliens under the age of 14.

The PDF USCIS posts is marked SAMPLE and DO NOT SUBMIT. It shows the questions the online form asks, so answers can be gathered and reviewed ahead of time. This page lets you fill that sample to prepare; the registration itself is submitted online through USCIS. The USCIS page also says submitting Form G-325R is one way to register, that there are other ways that may be better for some people, and it points to its Alien Registration Requirement page and an Alien Registration Requirement (ARR) Determination Tool.

What's on Form G-325R

Part 2: Biographic information

Parts 5 to 7: Interpreter, preparer and additional information

Certifications for anyone who interpreted or prepared the registration, and extra space for longer answers with page, part and item numbers.

How to prepare Form G-325R

  1. 1

Answer the ARR Determination Tool questions

The USCIS page suggests answering some simple questions before beginning Form G-325R, and asks registrants to carefully consider whether they have already registered.

  2. 2

Set up an individual USCIS online account

Each alien registering needs their own account. For a child under 14, the page says a parent or legal guardian sets up the account on the child's behalf and in the child's name.

  3. 3

Gather addresses, travel and family details

The form asks for five years of addresses, passport and Form I-94 details, the date and place of last entry, and information about parents, spouses and children. The sample PDF shows each question.

  4. 4

    Answer Part 3 completely

The form asks for a Yes to any question that applies, even if records were sealed or cleared and wherever the event happened, with an explanation of each offense and its outcome.

  5. 5

    Submit online, not on paper

The sample PDF is marked DO NOT SUBMIT. The USCIS page says Form G-325R must be filed online, through the alien's own USCIS online account.

  6. 6

Attend biometrics and keep the evidence

After registration and fingerprinting (unless waived), the page says DHS issues evidence of registration, and aliens 18 or older carry and keep it in their personal possession at all times.
