IRS e-file Signature Authorization for Form 4547, Trump Account Election(s)
Form 8879-TA is the declaration document and signature authorization for each e-filed Form 4547, Trump Account Election(s). The About page says it is used when an electronic return originator (ERO) files Form 4547 at the same time as the parent, guardian, or other authorized individual's income tax return.
The About page says to complete it when the Practitioner PIN method is used, or when the individual identified on Part I of Form 4547 authorizes the ERO to enter or generate the individual's personal identification number (PIN). The ERO prepares the form, the parent, guardian, or other authorized individual signs it, and the ERO keeps it. The form says "Don't Submit This Form to the IRS Unless Requested To Do So."

Submission Identification Number (SID), and the parent, guardian, or other authorized individual's name and social security number.
Lines 1 to 6 copy the first names and dates of birth of up to two children and each child's Pilot Program Contribution Election from Form 4547.
A declaration under penalties of perjury and consent for the ERO to send Form 4547. Two boxes: authorize the ERO firm to enter or generate the PIN, or enter the individual's own PIN under the Practitioner PIN method.
The individual's signature and date. The instructions allow a handwritten signature, or an electronic signature if supported by computer software.
For Practitioner PIN method returns only: the ERO's six-digit EFIN followed by a five-digit self-selected PIN, plus the ERO's signature and date.
The ERO enters the individual's name and SSN at the top, then completes Part I from the individual's Form 4547. The instructions say boxes may remain unchecked when appropriate.
In Part II, check one box only. For the first box, enter the ERO firm name (not the name of the individual preparing the return) and five digits that are not all zeros.
The parent, guardian, or other authorized individual verifies the accuracy of the prepared Form 4547, then signs and dates Form 8879-TA.
The instructions list hand delivery, U.S. mail, private delivery service, email, internet website, or fax. They say Form 4547 won't be transmitted until the ERO receives the signed Form 8879-TA.
Under the Practitioner PIN method, the ERO enters its six-digit EFIN and five-digit PIN, then signs and dates the certification.
The ERO enters the 20-digit Submission Identification Number assigned to the tax return with which Form 4547 was e-filed, or associates Form 9325 with Form 8879-TA after filing to provide it.
You get the real form, filled in a browser tab, with nothing standing between you and the finished PDF.
