U.S. Departing Alien Income Tax Statement
Form 2063, U.S. Departing Alien Income Tax Statement, is used to request IRS certification that all U.S. income tax obligations have been satisfied, the IRS About page says. It covers two groups: a resident alien whose taxable period has not been terminated, and a departing nonresident alien having no taxable income from U.S. sources.
The statement asks for identification, citizenship, a passport or alien registration card number, departure and arrival dates, and questions about income for the current and prior tax years. The right side of the form is the Annual Certificate of Compliance. It certifies that the person has satisfied all United States of America income tax obligations for the tax year, and it is signed for the IRS by the Field Assistance Area Director, with the Area Director's Stamp.
