VA Form 26-1859: Warranty of Completion of Construction

VA Form 26-1859 is the Warranty of Completion of Construction. The one-page PDF is a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development form, printed as form HUD-92544 and VA form 26-1859, with a caption for an FHA/VA case number. VA's form page lists it under Housing assistance.

In it, a warrantor warrants to the purchaser or owner that the dwelling is constructed in substantial conformity with the plans and specifications, and warrants the property against defects in equipment, material or workmanship. The form says the warranty is executed to induce the Federal Housing Commissioner or the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to make, guarantee or insure a mortgage on the property.

The warrantor signs it, the purchaser acknowledges it, and the form says completed copies go to both the home-buyer and the builder at closing. You can fill out the PDF free in your browser on this page and download the result without an account.
