Student Verification of Enrollment
VA Form 22-8979 is the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Student Verification of Enrollment. The student completes and signs it to say whether they were enrolled as certified by their school since the last verification, or to report a change in the number of hours or a complete withdrawal from training. The form's burden statement says VA needs this information to determine eligibility to education benefits and the proper amount payable.
The PDF has two pages. Page 1 holds Section I, student information, Section II, school information and enrollment, and the student's certification and signature. Page 2 holds general information with five steps, the two VA Regional Processing Office addresses with the states each one serves, and the privacy and burden notices. The form says to read the general information on page 2 before completing it.
