Application for Work-Study Allowance
VA Form 22-8691 is the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Application for Work-Study Allowance. A student receiving VA education benefits uses it to apply for VA work-study, in which the student does VA-related work and receives a work-study allowance in addition to education benefits. Item 5 lists the benefits it covers: Chapter 30, Chapter 31, Chapter 33 (including Fry, TOE and STEM Scholarships), Chapter 35, Chapter 1606 and the High Technology Program (VET TEC 2.0).
The form is two pages. Page 1 is the application in Parts I to III with the applicant's signature. Page 2 explains who is eligible, how much a student can earn, what type of work is allowed, where to get help and how to apply. The signature box says the applicant may not engage in VA Work Study duties until approved by VA. You can fill out the PDF free in your browser on this page and download the result without an account.
