Veterans Mortgage Life Insurance Inquiry
VA Form 29-0543 is the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Mortgage Life Insurance Inquiry. It is a two-page letter and questionnaire from the VA Insurance Center. The letter is addressed to a person whose mortgage, VA's records show, is insured under the Veterans Mortgage Life Insurance (VMLI) program, and asks whether there have been any recent changes in the status of the mortgage.
The letter says VMLI coverage is automatically terminated when the mortgage is paid in full or when title to the property secured by the mortgage is no longer in the insured's name. It asks the reader to answer the questions on the reverse, sign and date the form and return it. The second page shows the property, mortgage holder and loan account number from VA records, then asks about moves, sales, payoffs, refinancing, second mortgages and shared title.
