Credits for Qualifying Children and Other Dependents (Spanish Version)
Schedule 8812 (Form 1040) (sp) is the IRS Spanish version of Schedule 8812 for tax year 2025. Its Spanish title is "Anexo 8812 (Formulario 1040), Créditos por Hijos Calificados y Otros Dependientes". The part headings and line labels are in Spanish. The IRS office names, the attachment sequence number and the footer "Schedule 8812 (Form 1040) (sp) 2025" are in English.
The schedule says to attach it to Form 1040, 1040-SR or 1040-NR. Part I figures the child tax credit and the credit for other dependents, starting from line 11a of the return: $2,200 for each qualifying child under age 17 with the required Social Security number and $500 for each other dependent, reduced when line 3 is more than $400,000 for married filing jointly or $200,000 for all other filing statuses. Line 14 goes to line 19 of the return. Part II figures the additional child tax credit, and line 27 goes to line 28.
For instructions, the schedule points to www.irs.gov/Schedule8812SP. The English edition is Schedule 8812 (Form 1040). You can fill out the PDF free in your browser on this page and download it without an account.
