Employee's Withholding Certificate (Vietnamese Version)
Form W-4 (vie) is the Vietnamese version of the 2026 Form W-4, Employee's Withholding Certificate. Its title, "Chứng Nhận Khấu Lưu Thuế của Nhân Viên", and its steps, instructions and worksheets are printed in Vietnamese for employees who read Vietnamese. The English edition is Form W-4.
The form says to complete it so your employer can withhold the correct federal income tax from your pay, and to give it to your employer. It also says your withholding is subject to review by the IRS. A few items stay in English, such as the Department of the Treasury and Internal Revenue Service lines, the OMB number and the footer, which reads Form W-4 (vie) (2026).
The PDF has five pages: the certificate on page 1, the instructions on page 2, the Multiple Jobs Worksheet and privacy notice on page 3, the Deductions Worksheet on page 4 and the withholding tables on page 5. Dollar amounts use a period as the thousands separator, for example $2,200. You can fill out the Vietnamese PDF free in your browser on this page and download it without an account.

Name, address, Social Security number and filing status: single or married filing separately, married filing jointly or qualifying surviving spouse, or head of household. A side note gives the SSA number 800-772-1213.
Three options: the estimator at www.irs.gov/W4App, the Multiple Jobs Worksheet on page 3, or a checkbox when there are only two jobs in total.
For total income of $200,000 or less ($400,000 or less if married filing jointly), line 3(a) multiplies qualifying children under 17 by $2,200 and line 3(b) multiplies other dependents by $500.
Line 4(a) for other income not from jobs, 4(b) for deductions from the Deductions Worksheet on page 4, and 4(c) for extra withholding each pay period.
A box to claim exemption from withholding for 2026, then the employee's signature and date under penalties of perjury. The form says it is not valid unless you sign it.
The Multiple Jobs Worksheet and the Deductions Worksheet, each marked to keep for your records, and three tables by filing status for the two-job amounts.
Enter your first name and middle initial, last name, address, city, state and ZIP code, and Social Security number, then check one filing status. The form says head of household is checked only if you are unmarried and pay more than half the costs of keeping up a home for yourself and a qualifying individual.
The form says to complete Steps 2 to 4 only if they apply, otherwise skip to Step 5. In Step 2, choose one option. If you check the box in 2(c), the form says to do the same on the Form W-4 for the other job.
With more than one job, complete Steps 3 to 4(b) on the Form W-4 for only one job and leave them blank for the others. The form says withholding is most accurate on the form for the highest paying job.
Enter the amounts for children and other dependents and add other credits on line 3. Enter other income on 4(a), line 15 of the Deductions Worksheet on 4(b), and any extra amount per pay period on 4(c).
To claim exemption, check the box and complete only Steps 1(a), 1(b) and 5. Then sign and date Step 5 and give the form to your employer.
You get the real form, filled in a browser tab, with nothing standing between you and the finished PDF.
The form says to give Form W-4 to your employer. It also says your withholding is subject to review by the IRS.
The instructions say to complete a new Form W-4 when changes to your personal or financial situation would change the entries on the form.
The instructions say an employee who claims exemption for 2026 will need to submit a new Form W-4 before February 16, 2027.
The form suggests the estimator at www.irs.gov/W4App, for example when you complete the form after the beginning of the year or have self-employment income, and checking again at the start of next year.
For news about the form, such as laws passed after it was published, the instructions point to www.irs.gov/FormW4Vie.
The privacy notice says that not providing a properly completed form results in being treated as a single person with no other entries on the form.

Every step, instruction and worksheet is printed in Vietnamese. The steps are numbered the same way as on the English Form W-4, from Step 1 to Step 5.
Step 2 is for an employee who works more than one job at the same time, or who is married filing jointly with a spouse who also works. The form says to do only one of options (a), (b) or (c).
The form describes exemption for 2026 as having no federal income tax liability in 2025 and expecting none in 2026. Those employees check the exemption box and complete only Steps 1(a), 1(b) and 5.
The form says nonresident aliens see Notice 1392, Supplemental Form W-4 Instructions for Nonresident Aliens, before completing it.
The bottom of page 1 is for the employer: the employer's name and address, the first date of employment and the employer identification number (EIN).
An employee completes the form and gives it to the employer. The privacy notice says the employer uses the information to figure federal income tax withholding.
